MATKA SHICHAYI METHOD:
It is considered to be the most efficient way of delivering water to plants. Matka irrigation brings water directly to the roots and retains moisture in the soil. This keeps the plant green. This irrigation option saves water up to 70%. Matka irrigation started in Africa about 4 thousand years ago. Perforated pottery draws water from soil as per its requirement.In Africa it is called olla and a thin-faced potter is used for irrigation. For thousands of years this method has been used in Iran, South America. After this it was also adopted by countries like India, Pakistan, Brazil, Indonesia, Germany. Matka irrigation method is mentioned in the first book on agricultural science, Fen-sheng chi-shu. According to the book, the use of this method in China is more than 2000 thousand years old.
